About Lake Wedowee

Construction began in November of 1974 on the R.L Harris dam and thus Lake Wedowee was born.  As the newest addition to the fourteen Alabama Power Company reservoirs, Lake Wedowee serves as a sanctuary for locals and visitors alike.
